Lon C. Arneson, O.D.
Dr. Arneson was born and raised in small-town South Dakota. He attended Augustana College, Sioux Falls, SD and graduated with honors from the University of Houston College of Optometry, Houston, Texas in 1976.
Following graduation, Dr. Arneson served in the U.S. Navy at a clinic in Washington, D. C. for two years, then practiced in suburban Minneapolis-St. Paul before moving to Chippewa Falls in 1981. He has practiced in the same downtown location since that time. Dr. Arneson’s practice emphasis is on primary care optometry, with interests in contact lenses, eye disease management, and laser vision comanagement.
Civic volunteer involvement includes board of directors of Chippewa Optimist Club, United Way, Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, and Rotary Club, and membership in Elks and Lions Clubs. Professional organizations include board of directors of Wisconsin Optometric Association, and president of Indianhead Optometric Society.
Dr. Arneson lives in Chippewa Falls with his wife Dr. Denise Glantz Arneson and daughter Carly. His twin daughters Ingrid and Gretchen are in college in Iowa and Colorado. He is a member of Central Lutheran Church and plays and sings in their worship band. Outdoor activities are among his hobbies, including fishing, hunting, golf, and skiing.

Denise Glantz Arneson, O.D.
Dr. Glantz grew up in Rochester, MN and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1986. She attended the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, earned a bachelor of science degree and graduated with honors in 1990. She then attended The Ohio State University College of Optometry and graduated second in her class with a doctor of optometry degree in 1994.
At OSU, Dr. Glantz earned 3 scholarships and the Ciba Vision Contact Lens Achievement Award. She was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the optometric honor society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and was the student representative for the college clinic committee.
Following graduation, Dr. Glantz practiced optometry in Cincinnati OH, with Drs. Tom Ritter and Mark Hagee, for 2 years. She then moved back to Wisconsin and joined Dr. Arneson in 1996. Dr. Glantz enjoys seeing patients of all ages, fitting all kinds of contact lenses, and treating eye disease. She has a good referral relationship with local eye surgeons.
Dr. Glantz is a member of the Indianhead Optometric Society, the Wisconsin Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and volunteers her services to needy children through the Vision USA program.
Dr. Glantz lives in Chippewa Falls with her husband Dr. Lon Arneson and daughter Carly. She is a member of Central Lutheran Church and enjoys fishing, cooking, needlework, and going to craft fairs.
